Kayla had been dreaming of a place like Enlightened Beauty. She wanted a team-based, non-tipping, and safe Business for both HER EMPLOYEES AND GUESTS.
What is team-based?
Team based means the Enlightened Beauty team works towards one common goal. It isn't "my chair, my client" in our salon and spa. It's "our company, our guests." We get paid a healthy, reliable hourly wage, work a set schedule with dependable breaks, and receive medical insurance and PTO. All while we create and grow our company how we want as a team.
What does that mean for you?
We get to focus on what's most important at Enlightened Beauty: You! Your health, your experience, and your safety.
The funny thing is, most companies already run this way. The beauty industry is just not used to this type of business. it has historically been run in a commission focused system with income being dependent on tips. We wanted to stay collaborative and make the industry better for both our guests and our employees. This means you will have more opportunities for appointments as all employees are trained on the Enlightened Beauty Standards. All prices are exactly as described on this website, on our app, or when you give us a call (or text). We also celebrate our guests with reward Treat Points to help you save as a thank you.
What is a non-tipping policy?
We know that excellent service will make you want to tip everyone at Enlightened Beauty, but a non-tipping policy means even that your service is 100% in the price. We believe it's our responsibility to provide each of our guests with the best experience possible, every single time.
If you want to continue to support us beyond just being one of our wonderful guests, you can send a friend, write a review, or splurge with more products and services. That's the best tip we can ever receive.

Our team does their part to keep everyone safe, healthy, and having fun in our space. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible when coming into our salon. Our team is a group of individuals excited about making your experience a remarkable one! Each employee has been trained in the Enlightened Beauty Standards which means no matter who you see, on what day, for whatever service, you'll have the same great experience every time.

I got into the beauty industry because I love making people feel good and confident in themselves. When I get the opportunity to serve our guests and team members, and help to make their lives better, I am a happy Kayla. :)
The beauty industry needs a serious makeover...pun intended. The traditional way salons and spas run is not working. It creates unhealthy competition, unstable paychecks, and a "me against the world" mindset. That's why I created Enlightened Beauty to be a safe space to learn and grow.
My big goal is to franchise Enlightened Beauty so more salon owners and their teams can enjoy their careers to their fullest. I also hope to open a micro beauty school where I can teach these radical changes and healthy lifestyles for a better future for the industry.
My family, friends, fur children, and team are my best supporters and make all the hard work worth it! <3

Hi! :) I entered the beauty industry as a way to feed my artistic soul and subsequently fell in love with all things skin! I specialize in facials, but love a good wax or fun makeup look.
I love making all beings look and feel their absolute best. Watching someone light up at their own confidence is a high I will never stop chasing.
Working at a team based, education driven salon and spa is a dream come true.I can't wait to grow with it and into the best versions of ourselves. <3
In my free time, you can find me painting, reading, sitting on my porch, or snuggled up with my zoo of pets, watching documentaries. I am incredibly passionate about human rights and making sure everyone has a safe space with me and I am so lucky and proud to be apart of such a strong team that holds the same values.

Hey! I'm Emily, but you can call me Emmy. I'm a fur mom, and have the most supportive man that I could ask for.
As a kid, I was always intrigued with hair. I always loved the fun colors you could do. To the point where I would beg my friends to do their hair so I could see it. I found that a beautiful haircut could make people happy so became a cosmetologist!
What I like about the industry is that I can bring new ideas to the table. I love improving the way the industry works. I want to continue to learn more and help Enlightened Beauty elevate what's taught to those who also love hair like me.
Enlightened Beauty has taught me that it's okay to bring in new concepts and ideas, to take care of myself, and that working with a team is the future.I feel like I have a salon family that cares (and that includes the guests that come to the salon).
